Join Jess for a weeklong adventure in self-love on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Rediscover your inner voice as we strengthen our core, find our balance, and work to fall back in love with ourselves and connect more deeply with others. We will use movement, meditation and journaling to clarify the purpose, inspirations and attachments in our lives, and to explore how to create the freedom, peace and happiness we deserve. We will move, breathe, write, laugh and play to awaken our authentic self.

Each day will include morning yoga or Pilates, led by Jess, in a private group studio. After breakfast each day there is free time to take advantage of the many therapeutic and revitalizing spa treatments or take advantage of the wide selection of nearby tours and activities. In the evening, Jess will lead a meditation and restorative yoga class prior to dinner.

Jess, E-RYT, has been studying yoga since the 1990s. She was transformed during her first experience, a laughing pranayama class, which left her feeling light, clear and happy. She exclusively took Iyengar style classes and quickly realized how her mind and body reaped the benefits of the practice. It wasn’t until 2008 that Jess took her first vinyasa class and once again fell in love with the fluidity of how the class moved and how yoga made her body feel.
Jess’ practice changed after the birth of her two children, leaving her core weak with a series of new muscle aches and pains. She started focusing on the deep core muscles and once again, watched how her ailments dissipated. This quickly led Jess to become a certified Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor.
Jess’ intention is to teach those to move from their center, creating a more balanced and stable foundation for all things life has to offer. She teaches with the mindset that there is an empowering and sustainable yoga practice accessible to every person who has the desire to find and embrace it.
Jess currently leads a 200 hour Yoga Flow Teacher Training Program – ‘Teach from the Heart’ – through a registered yoga school, and has created a 20 hour ‘Pilates for Yogi’s’ program, teaching mat Pilates essentials with a yoga influence. When Jess isn’t on her mat, she’s with her kids, playing outside, reading books, and enjoying
what life has to offer.
