Ceremony, Restoration & Yoga / Tamika Caston-Miller

April 26, 2025 - May 3, 2025

Journey to what the Maya believe as the center of the universe, Lake Atitlan. Allow for your yoga practice to include an immersion in Mayan culture, ceremony, and beauty.

There is really no way to describe the beauty and potency of indigenous Central America. With living histories, language, and ceremonies, we are invited to participate in and be changed by this incredible culture. With morning and afternoon yoga practices to help prepare and integrate your daily experiences, you’ll have a chance to participate in as much or as little as you desire to fully reset your mind, body, and spirit.

I have paid special attention to include the most aspirational activities, as well as the annoyances like airport transfers. Find out why folks come back year after year to enjoy a new adventure together. You will leave restored and connected to this beautiful land and an expanded yoga community.

Experience

Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Atitlan in the heart of the Guatemalan highlands, our retreat center, Villa Sumaya is the go-to destination in the area.

Prepare to immerse yourself in rest, reflection, mesoamerican culture, adventure and natural beauty.

Exotic thatch-roofed complexes encompass comfortable, elegantly-decorated guest rooms with patios, as well as stunning practice studios.

Lush grounds contain tropical flora, medicinal herbs and relaxing hammocks. The center features a cafe, healing spa, hot tub, sauna, boutique, cozy common areas, and a lakeshore fire pit.

Enjoy this beautiful place during its dry season, as well as multiple opportunities to practice a variety of styles of yoga guided by Tamika Caston-Miller, Ashley Rideaux, Elena Cheung, and a group of assistants.
