Relax and Rejuvenate: Reconnecting the Mind and Body / Samantha Schanstra

By joining this retreat, you’ll gift yourself six days to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with what truly matters. Each morning begins with breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes and the lush Guatemalan landscape, setting the tone for a day of renewal and presence.
Throughout your stay, you’ll have the freedom to find your own rhythm—whether that means unwinding by the lake, curling up with a good book, or exploring one of the many activities available at Villa Sumaya. While we have scheduled times for meals and guided yoga and Pilates sessions, there’s also abundant space to rest, reflect, and simply be.
This experience is both structured and spacious—crafted to nurture your body, quiet your mind, and inspire your spirit. Guided by our experienced instructors, you’ll explore the transformative power of movement and mindfulness in a setting that feels both grounding and magical.
Come join us on this unforgettable journey of restoration and inner balance. We can’t wait to share this experience with you.
This retreat is all about relaxation and coming back to the body and mind. While we do have set times for meals and practice, there are amble amounts of time to take solo, reading by the lake, or joining on some of the many activities offered.

Team
Samantha SchanstraGrowing up in her mom’s Pilates studio, Sam has always had a love for movement. It wasn’t until 2021 that she reconnected with her practice for Yoga.
In 2023, Sam went down and studied in Moyobama, Peru, to receive her YTT 200-hour so she could continue to share her love for yoga with others.
Currently, Sam is teaching at a local studio in Bozeman, where her style is vinyasa flow, with an emphasis on balance and intention. Finding stillness while calming down the mind and body is so important for her within her classes.
Kristine SchanstraAfter years of experience, I decided to open my own studio where I could follow my unique vision of physical and mental wellness.
Having four kids and maintaining two careers at once, I convey my passion for teaching balance – in every aspect of one’s life – through my Pilates classes.
I received my certifications at Pilates Academy International, NYC
Rosa DluginskyHer journey began at the tender age of six, practicing yoga alongside her mother, which instilled a lifelong love for the practice.
As the owner of Glowing Goddess Healing and Wellness, Rosa offers both group and individual yoga sessions, as well as sound bath sessions, guided meditations, and mindfulness programs for youth.
Certified in Vinyasa Yoga since 2017, she embraces the belief that yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of shape, size, gender, or ability. “It is important for me to help my students develop their own authentic practice as I guide them safely through asana and breath work.”
Rosa specializes in restorative yin yoga, often integrating sound baths at the end of her classes to enhance relaxation and rejuvenation.
When she’s not sharing her passion for yoga, Rosa enjoys traveling the world with her husband of 30 years. On quieter days, you can find her cozied up on the couch with a captivating book and a steaming cup of tea. Rosa cherishes life as an adventure and feels grateful every day to be a part of it.
