RocketBeats is a modern, dynamic and fun style of yoga originating in London with a growing community of practitioners and teachers in the UK and beyond.With its roots in Rocket, RocketBeats is a challenging and fun, breath-based yoga practice, which is influenced by a range of yoga and movement modalities.

Instead of having set sequences, the RocketBeats style is based on 4 different directions of travel – UP, DOWN, FORWARDS and BACKWARDS. The idea is that by practicing in each of the directions equally, you gain a deeper understanding of how and why you move and find your own balance between what you need and what you want.

Balancing strength and flexibility is one of the hallmarks of an RB practice and every practice includes drills helping practitioners work towards their optimum alignment in both simple and complex movements. At RocketBeats we believe yoga provides an opportunity for fun, adventure, exploration and community – all foundations of our RocketBeats holidays. Our week-long holiday will have:

• Daily practices – over the course of the week, we’ll go up, down, forwards and backwards and more – and by the end we’ll be flying.
• Daily workshops – to slow it all down and break down all the things a regular practice doesn’t allow for and a goodie bag of drills for you to take home.
• Time for socialising and unwinding – whether that’s joining a group excursion, taking some quiet time to yourself, relaxing with a treatment, or making friends by the pool.
• Delicious vegetarian food

Imi and Alan are a London-based teaching team originating from the Rocket tradition who have incorporated many movement modalities to create their own style of modern dynamic yoga.

They are committed to challenging dogma, disrupting the norm and encouraging yoga teachers to think for themselves. They’ve been on the London teaching scene for years and their RocketBeats classes are a favourite on the schedules of some of London’s foremost studios.
