This 6 day 5 night retreat offers the perfect balance of resetting and reconnecting both the mind and body. Come join us and discover the transformative power of yoga and pilates, where experienced instructors guide you every step of the way to help you find some relaxation and balance. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, join us to enhance your well being and find your inner peace.

Sam Schanstra – Retreat Leader,

Yoga Instructor Sam Schanstra grew up in New York, but has been living in Bozeman, Montana for the last four years. Growing up in her mom’s Pilates studio, Sam has always had a love for movement. It wasn’t until 2020 when she reconnected with her practice for Yoga. In 2023 Sam went down and studied in Moyobama, Peru to receive her YTT 200 hour so she could continue to share her love for yoga with others.

Currently Sam is teaching at a local studio in Bozeman where her style is vinyasa flow, with an emphasis on balance and intention. Finding stillness while calming down the mind and body are so important for her within her classes.

Other than yoga, You can find Sam skiing, spending time at the animal shelter, or planning her next trip!

 

Michelle Garcia – Yoga Instructor

Michelle Garcia is a Canadian born, indigenous yoga teacher, currently calling Guadalajara, Mexico home. Since 2009, Michelle has been deeply committed to yoga, and by 2015, she began sharing her passion through teaching. With over 1,500 hours of training, more than 6,500 teaching hours, and having led more than 30 yoga teacher trainings, Michelle’s expertise spans multiple disciplines.

Specializing in hatha, vinyasa, and prenatal yoga, Michelle is also a YACEP with additional certifications in yin, restorative, and yoga nidra. Her teaching style is a dynamic fusion of energetic asana practices intertwined with yogic philosophy. Michelle strives to create a sacred space for students, guiding them on a journey of self-discovery and inner balance, nurturing stillness and tranquility in both body and mind.

Outside the studio, Michelle enjoys crafting margaritas, soaking up the sun, and befriending every cat she meets.

 

Kristine Schanstra – Pilates Instructor

Kristine Schanstra is a Pilates instructor and owner of a boutique reformer studio, with over 20 years of experience. She lives in New York with her husband of 28 years, has 4 amazing adult children and 2 dogs and 2 cats. Her STOTT certifications, from Pilates Academy International, NYC, include Mat, Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Anatomy and Bio mechanics. She is also certified in TRX and spin.

As a lifelong fitness enthusiast, Kristine has been an avid participant in all kinds of physical activity over the years. Some of her favorites include Hot Yoga, Trapeze, Lyra and Arial Arts, Running Clubs, Running 1/2 Marathons, Skiing and Volunteering to walk dogs at the local shelter. She also enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, traveling, and reading a good book.

In 2012, Kristine opened her own studio to share her passion and vision for teaching. Small classes, personalized attention and a genuine connections with her clients, enabled her to create a supportive and challenging environment where clients of all ages and abilities could realize their fitness goals.
