Meet Your Teacher

Beryl Bender, an environmental and animal activist since the early 70’s, and one of the pioneers of the longevity field. She has been an avid student of classical yoga, meditation, and Buddhism for almost 50 years. She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in English and philosophy and is the author of four books on yoga, including Power Yoga & Beyond Power Yoga. In l974 she traveled to India for 6 months, with her teacher, a Jain monk, to further her studies and has been teaching yoga and meditation and training yoga teachers in the deeper dimensions of yoga since that time. She is the Executive Director of The Hard & The Soft Yoga & Meditation Retrets and Adventures,and board chair of the Give Back Yoga Foundation. Beryl lives in the forests of the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts with her Siberian huskies.
